Jerry Lee Manigault

We typed the post last night. Now that the news is out we will publish it. We didn’t want to interfere with the official investigation.

Let’s talk about serial offender (and sex offender) Jerry Lee Manigault of Baptist Hill Road in Hollywood. We were surfing the database of the Al Cannon Detention Center today and found he was arrested Monday evening and charged with Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. His bond was set at $2,105 by Judge Bligen.

In light of recent events in Hollywood, namely the disappearance of an elderly woman, we thought we would dig around a bit. We found out Manigault has ties to Hollywood and Beaufort County. His address on the sex offender registry and on most of his arrest records is 4940 Baptist Hill Road. Curiously, that is only .3 miles from Julie Ann Mudgett’s residence on Toogoodoo Road according to Google Maps.

Earlier this week we put up a post in which we intuitively linked the disappearance of 77 year old Hollywood resident Julia Ann Mudgett and the murder of 70 year old Polly Ann Mitchell of Bluffton on Monday. Mudgett’s missing car was found Monday at a boat landing only a few short miles from Mitchell’s home.

From what we have learned about Manigault he likes raping elderly women and in fact is alleged to have sexually assaulted his own mother. He has an extensive criminal history. Let’s review it.

In this case from 2010 Manigault beat and sexually assaulted an 82 year old woman after breaking into her home at about 4:30 in the morning on 26 July, 2010. He then went on the run and ended up in Beaufort County where he was arrested.

2011 Charges (Charleston County):

3rd Degree Burglary - Pled guilty. Sentenced by Judge Stephanie McDonald to 2 years.

2012 Charges (Charleston County):

1st Degree Burglary - Pled guilty. Sentenced by Judge Thomas “Felon’s Friend” Hughston to 3 years in January 2013.

Here it is May of 2014 and Manigault is roaming the streets of the Lowcountry.

Here you have yet another example of a violent offender coddled by the 9th Circuit Solicitor and judges - for decades.

Given Manigault’s proximity to the Hollywood victim and the fact that her car was recovered very close to the Bluffton victim’s residence, plus his history of violence and sexual assaults on elderly women, we believe Manigault is a solid suspect in each of those crimes.

We finished this post at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday evening. We will refrain from posting it so we don’t interfere with any possible investigation of Manigault by the authorities.

this is in reply to mm. yes jerry manigault is one messed up individual. working for the dept of corrections i saw him pretty much everyday at ridgeland. HE IS ONE OF THE REASONS JUDGES NEED TO RUN INMATES SENTENCES CONSECUTIVELY AND CHECK INTO THEIR PRIORS BEFORE SENTENCING THEM. IF MANIGAULT DID NOT COMMIT THE CRIMES ON THESE 2 ELDERLY WOMEN. HE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE, SCDC GETS TOO MANY REPEAT OFFENDERS FOR SERIOUS CRIMES,BUT JUDGES ARE NOT MAKING THEM DO ENOUGH TIME FOR THEIR CRIMES. PLEASE, IF ANYONE PERSONALLY KNOW ANY CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS THAT WORK FOR SCDC. JUST ASK THEM, IF THEY HAVE SPENT MORE THAN 10 YEARS WITH SCDC THEY WILL TELL YOU THE SAME THING. ANOTHER FOOD FOR THOUGHT. WITHOUT GOOD CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS HOW SAFE WOULD THE PUBLIC REALLY BE.

Oh. My. God. How could one sleep at night IF this man is found guilty of these murders? And more than likely he IS guilty. Preying on the defenseless is the worst crime ever in my opinion.

Yet another failure by the local solicitors and judges. The blood of these ladies is on their hands.

I am an law abiding citizen residing in a small South Carolina township ( hard working black woman sorry to state this but needed to say). I am so exhausted from nonsense. I grew up dirt poor, worked 2 to 3 jobs since age of 13, and i am a proud single parent that raised my kids but obtained education. I teach and encouraged my family and friends to love being your best person . At the same time , i am no push over and i am an advocate for the “Death Penalty”. I want the “Death Penalty” to make it swift for those that abuse, torture and kill the innocent. I don’t care who you are or what you look like. Everyone cannot be rehabilitated or conformed to live in a civil society. I would gladly pay extra on my light bill to fry more than one at a time. Let them hold hands and sing “Kum bah Yah” on the way out. We do not have enough police manpower nationwide with all the economic cutbacks. Also, by letting criminals get a slap on the hands and early release without proper tracking methods is frustrating the police. The criminals know this too well and have better protection rights. The days are gone with leaving your doors open and sleeping with fresh air from windows. When was the last time you saw kids jumping rope in the front yard, riding bikes to get ice cream, or safely sitting on the front porch.
We are living in an high tech society, so lets placed permanent computer non-destructive tracking chips/devices inside criminal brains and/or near any viable organs so if attempted to being tampered with leads to an instant demised. A better tracking system of criminals with alert apps for our phones and computers to let you know that someone dangerously known is nearby your jobs, homes, and schools. We need to show no mercy to anyone with any type of deviant history especially those on any type of probation, sexual misconduct, and criminal activity. Our home had failed attempted forceful entries via windows and doors break ins during the daylight hours. Those intruders were determined to come in even with us screaming ” do not come in i have a weapon!” My home has elderly ill adults, and children inside of the home. What if the intruder(s) were killed? It would had been me arrested for trying to protect my person and family. The police responded quickly. Thank God for All!!!!!
Those intruders also had long criminal records out of jail on probation!!!!
