Exposing the criminal element for 3 years

Andrew Lanzaro

Andrew Lanzaro has been charged in the hit and run death of Justin Plumlee on Folly Beach this past Saturday. Andrew, who goes by the name “Andy Lanzaro“, is no stranger to traffic or drug offenses. He originally hails from Fairfax, Virginia so we took the time to search for his criminal history there.

Most local media outlets have already reported on Lanzaro’s local criminal history. Considering their usual lack of such reporting we can’t help but wonder what spurred them to action this time. Most of the time they studiously avoid reporting prior arrests and convictions in their stories. Lanzaro was charged in July with Possession of Narcotics, DUI and Possession of Marijuana. At the time he ran down his victims he was free on a total bond of $26,642. Eight days after bonding out he was charged by CPD with Public Drunk.

Lanzaro apparently has an issue with drugs and alcohol.

WCSC and the Propaganda & Criminals now have stories up telling us this hit and run involving death and serious injury is possibly a hate crime. And with that you discover the reason why they are reporting on Lanzaro’s criminal record. Lanzaro’s surviving victim is black. Curiously, CCSO tells the P&C they have “reports” Lanzaro may have had an argument at a bar with his victims prior to driving into them which “prompted” the department to look into this incident as a possible hate crime. Later in the article, the CCSO spokesman states, “We don’t know if it was a targeted act. We don’t know if he lost control of his vehicle. But at this time we can tell you his act was reckless.

Hmmm……white maggot with a fondness for drugs and alcohol drives into two guys he may or may not have had an argument with in a bar, one of whom is white, one of whom is black, and the cops don’t know what the actual circumstances are at this point, yet they tell the press (always hungry for a sensational story) it “might, possibly, could be, but we don’t know” a hate crime. Come on Sheriff Al, we expect better from you and your people.

Lanzaro’s current charges are Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Personal Injury (Death) and Reckless Homicide. His total bond is $300,00.

Let’s assume Lanzaro did have a drunken argument with his two victims. Let’s also assume he later spotted them walking down the street and decided to take them out with his car. In that case, reckless homicide goes out the window and charges of murder and attempted murder take it’s place. If the above assumptions are correct we can safely assume Lanzaro felt some animosity, and maybe even some hatred, toward his victims. Apparently, hating a white person enough to run them over and kill them is okey-dokey. Feeling that same hatred toward that white person’s dark skinned friend is a serious no-no, however. That can get you labeled a racist and draw a separate charge. So much for equality, huh?

  1. Call the Rev. Darby he can explain what a hate crime is!! If the victim is black it must be a hate crime?

  3. This just goes to show the failures in the judicial system reach beyond drug and gun charges. This piece of crap needs to stay long gone. He obviously cannot contribute to society. For anyone saying, oh he was drunk, it was an accident… I cannot say I know if it was or wasn’t. What I can say is that he knew he had a problem, he didn’t care if he risked the lives of others. He’s trash.

  5. The concept of “hate crimes” are, in principle, ridiculous. We don’t have special people in the US. Your life is not more important than mine, and vice versa. Murder is murder. Attempted murder is attempted murder. They should ALL be punished harshly.

  7. Can we assume the two were gay lovers??

    • Wouldn’t change anything if so, but no, they were a best man, and a groomsman walking home from their best friend’s bachelor party.

  9. This isn’t a hate crime. He had serious issues with drinking and drugs and this is a horrible turn of events due to his poor judgement and recklessness. After those other charges, he should have been forced to get treatment and had his license immediately suspended. I’m sad for the death and for the families involved, ALL of the families.

  11. Every violent crime is a hate crime. Hope they throw the book at this scumbag since he has drinking and driving priors, but after reading CTL for a few months I won’t hold my breath. I imagine he’ll be out on twenty five cents bond in a week, and will be promptly arrested for mowing down more people. Maybe after a few cycles of that, he’ll wind up doing five years!

  13. As someone who knows Andrew, he is a good person who has been going through sone tough times lately. He was a manager at a local establishment, and a great guy. He might of been intoxicated, but he is sorry fo
for what happened and from his own mouth he says he deserves everything he gets. He is the kindest person.

    • This man should have been in jail years ago and Folly Beach Shrimp Company is just as much to blame for contributing to his abuse of alcohol. Where was he drinking the night he ran these men down? He not only drinks but does drugs that make him very aggressive.

    • A great guy doesn’t have this many run ins with the law that involve alcohol and drugs and doesn’t get help. The previous DUI, drug charges etc. immediately puts him in the “not so great guy” category.
And this comes from the mouth of a mother whose child was hit by a drunk driver that also left the scene. He also only received a slap on the wrist.
