We have profiled Deante Baptiste, aka “Deckboi Ten“, a couple of times. The first was in August 2012 when he was rounded up in a drug operation conducted by NCPD. He was featured again in March of this year when he was arrested after a search warrant was served at his home and he was arrested on drug and gun charges. Visit those two links for Baptiste’s entire criminal history.
We should note there was no effort by anyone in the system to revoke Baptiste’s $75,000 in personal recognizance bonds on the 2012 charges when he arrested in March. We wonder if anyone will bother to go after those bonds, and the total $15,000 bond set by Judge Baldwin in March now that he has been arrested again.
His charges from 2012 and March 2014 are still pending and Baptiste was free on those bonds when he got locked up again yesterday for doing what he does - dealing drugs.
Baptiste has not had a bond hearing yet. That comes later this morning. We fully expect a bond judge to give him another ridiculous bond so he can get back to his drug dealing enterprise as soon as possible.
We will update this post when that information is available.
Update: In yet another failure of our bond system, Deante Baptiste was given a $25,000 bond each charge by Judge Linda Lombard. A total of $50,000.
