9th Circuit Solicitor Fails Again
The 9th Circuit Solicitor fails again. Unfortunately, we can’t say that is an unexpected headline based on our experience with that particular prosecutor.
But, hey! At least she had a good time at the Family Circle Cup sitting in the seats paid for by defense attorney Lionel Lofton! Gotta have those priorities in order, ’cause, you know, dismissing murder charges a day or two later can be stressful.
Edit: Some folks had an issue with the above paragraph. We didn’t say Lofton bought her tickets, just that it appears she was sitting in seats he payed to sponsor.
Here we go - Charleston Thug Life breaking the news again. On April 7th, 9th Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson quietly dismissed all charges against Glendell Gladden, Brian Ancrum and Omary Kornickey in the murder of Don’ta Pringle last July. She was probably hoping we wouldn’t notice.
All three of these thugs who had something to do with the murder of Pringle and the wounding of an innocent female bystander are now walking the streets of the Lowcountry once again. How long before another body drops? According to press reports, Gladden has been directly involved in at least three murders now.
Instead of allying himself with Scarlett Wilson and gloating over the passage of SB 19, a law that will do pretty much nothing to address the bond problem in this state, Chief Mullen should be asking her why she can’t seem to successfully prosecute many serious cases.
When we posted about Omary Kornickey on Sunday we thought he was going before a judge for a bond reduction request. As it turns out, Wilson took him before the judge to dismiss his charges.
We have previously profiled the criminal history of Brian Ancrum after his arrest on April 5th while he was still out on bond for the murder charge.
After going through our previous posts we realized we never did fully explore the criminal history of Glendell Gladden. He has so many arrests, and received so many breaks from the 9th Circuit Solicitor, you can’t help but wonder what his connection is. There has to be some connection - is he boning someone in the office? Is he selling drugs to someone in the office? It seems like there has to be something there. Or maybe this was just a complicated case and it gave poor little Scarlett a headache. Take a look at Gladden’s history and you tell us.
2001 Charges:
2nd Degree Burglary - Dropped to trespassing by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Sentenced to one day time served by Judge James Gosnell.
2003 Charges:
Failure to Stop for Blue Light 1st Offense - Pled guilty. Sentenced by Judge Deadra Jefferson to 90 days.
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle over $1000 Value - Dropped to PSMV <$1000 by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Sentenced to 30 days.
2004 Charges:
Accessory After the Fact of Murder - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Possession of Crack Cocaine - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. They decided the officer’s frisk was improper and decided to throw out their own evidence, even though the case made it through the preliminary hearing. and the Grand Jury. Hmmm……
Probation Violation
2005 Charges:
Note: These charges were rolled into a really sweet plea deal with charges from 2006 in Charleston and Berkeley counties.
1st Offense Failure to Stop for Blue Lights - Pled guilty. Sentenced by Judge R. Markley Dennis to 7 months time served. You can see from the record, he did not serve seven months on this charge while awaiting trial. He bonded out within days.
Given the fact this was actually Gladden’s 2nd offense for FSBL and a felony, he should have been sent to prison as the law states.
You would think a decent prosecutor would catch that. But then, you’d be wrong.
2006 Charges (Charleston County):
Offering a Bribe - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Resisting Arrest - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Possession of Ecstasy - Dismissed by 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Assault on Police Officer - Pled guilty. Same bullshit seven months time served sentence by Judge R. Markley Dennis.
Assault & Battery of a High & Aggravated Nature - The disposition says Gladden pled guilty, but the solicitor’s notes under the sentencing tab indicate Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle >$5000 - Pled guilty. Sentenced to 6 years, suspended on 7 months time served and 2 years probation.
Distribution of Crack Cocaine - Reduced to Possession of Crack Cocaine by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Sentenced to 7 months time served.
2006 Charges (Berkeley County):
Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol - Pled guilty. 7 months time served for the time he spent in jail on the PSMV charge in Charleston County.
Obstruction of Justice - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
2008 Charges:
Armed Robbery - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.

Armed Robbery - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Trafficking Crack Cocaine - Reduced to PWID Crack Cocaine by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Same YOA sentence from Judge Roger Young, concurrent.
CDV High & Aggravated Nature - Dismissed at preliminary hearing, probably because the victim didn’t show.
PWID Crack Near a School - Pled guilty. Same YOA sentence from Judge Roger Young, concurrent.
2010 Charges:
Murder - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
2011 Charges:
Possession of a Firearm During a Violent Crime - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
2013 Charges:
PWID Cocaine - Pending. Free again on $100,000 bond.
Murder - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Attempted Murder - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Indecent Exposure (Felony) - Free on a $10,000 bond. This incident apparently happened while Gladden was in jail on the murder charge.
There you have it folks. Still think elections don’t matter?

Stomach turning. And in my opinion, taking those seats from a defense attorney constitutes as a gift. So, is she accepting “gifts” for something?
OMG, I sat right behind them at FCC, kinda wondered who Lofton & Lofton were, since I have a relative with that last name. If I’d known that was ol’ Scarlett sitting there, I might have just “accidentally” tripped & spilled some wine…… That definitely does sound like a “gift” she accepted. This is just disgusting.
He is either working with the police. Or fucking the police Bo way.
Behind closed door deals is nothing new for her.. Something I have noticed though.. I never see her out with a male, its always females… HHHmmmm I wonder. Oh well
