North Charleston police are investigating the early Sunday morning murder of a taxi driver in Horizon Village. No further details at this time, but we will bring them to you when they become available.
We have been advised of some new information related to the arrest of Brandon Sigmon who committed a home invasion in Cane Bay this past Wednesday. He assaulted a woman using a firearm and a Taser allegedly stolen in a previous burglary and smacker a toddler around. Maybe Brandon was trying to emulate his father, Brad Keith Sigmon, who is currently on South Carolina’s death row for a burglary and double murder committed in 2001 in Greenville County. Brad Sigmon broke into the home of his girlfriend’s parents and beat them to death with a baseball bat. Brad Sigmon then kidnapped his girlfriend and shot her several times. He decided to flee when he ran out of ammunition. He has been on death row and appealing his conviction since 2002.
We have been told by a few different sources that Brandon Sigmon’s wife probably doesn’t know about his alleged activities involving painkillers, methamphetamine and hookers. Heck of a way to find out, huh?
