With all the meth cooking going on in Moncks Corner, maybe a name change to Meth Monkeys Corner is in order. We have to hand it to the narcotics unit out there. They are continuously dogging these meth mopes and putting them in jail. They don’t get much help from anyone else out there, though. Keep reading for the shocking news that one of the four meth cooks arrested at a home on Blondell Lane is on “high supervision” probation and two others were out on bond on pending meth charges.
Get to know these faces. They could be blowing up a house near yours very soon.
First up is 51 year old Mark Anthony Johnson. He is the one on probation . We are pretty sure he has a more extensive criminal history than what is shown here, but checking counties other than Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester gets time consuming.
2005 Charges:
Three (3) counts of Unlawful Neglect of a Child - Two were dismissed. Plead guilty to the third. Sentenced by Judge Daniel Pieper to 3 years, suspended in favor of 2 years probation.
Possession of Crack Cocaine - Plead guilty. Same sentence as above, concurrent.
Manufacture/Distribute Crack - Dismissed.
PWID Cocaine - Reduced to Possession of Cocaine by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Same sentence as above, concurrent.
Next up is 32 year old Joshua Lawrence Talbert. He was just released from jail in Charleston County in July after he was charged with shoplifting. We believe he also has a more extensive history than that shown by the tri-county databases.
Edit: A reader pointed out we missed a charge for Talbert. In 2010 he was charged with Assault & Battery With Intent to Kill for slicing someone up pretty badly in Berkeley County. The 9th Circuit let him plead to ABHAN. Judge Kristi Harrington sentenced Talbert to 4 years, suspended in favor of 4 years probation.
Talbert was arrested in November of 2013 in Berkeley County and charged with PWID Methampetamine and Distribution of Meth Near a School. It looks like he was released on a total of $70,000 bond.
In June Talbert was arrested in Berkeley County again and charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Prescription Narcotics, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He was released on a total bond of $25,500.
Russel Dewayne Thomas, 33, was also free on bond when he was arrested on the latest charges.
In February of 2014 Thomas was charged in Berkeley County with Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Exposing a Child to Methamphetamine and PWID Meth. It looks like he was released on a total bond of $55,000.
Last, but not least, is 44 year old meth model Gina Stock. Yeah, we know. Stock has no criminal history in the tri-county area under that name. We also found her under the name “Gina Schirmer Stock“. Stock and Johnson are apparently a couple.
We thought Stock’s last status update was pretty interesting, given the fact she was arrested in a meth lab less than 48 hours later.
Meth. Great stuff, huh?
