Criss Cross?
Brandon James Washington was gunned down on the streets of Charleston this past Monday. According to what his mother told a local reporter he was “hanging out with so-called friends and family” and they set him up. Police are still investigating his death.
Washington apparently knew someone was gunning for him.
We thought it was sad that the photo provided by Washington’s mother to the P&C was a photo taken during an apparent prison visit. Let’s take a look at what she described as Brandon “getting caught up in some criss cross.”
2006 Charges:
1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Reduced to Assault of a High & Aggravated Nature by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Sentenced by Judge R. Markley Dennis to a YOA term not to exceed 6 years.

Assault & Battery of a High & Aggravated Nature - Plead guilty. Same sentence as above, concurrent.
Unlawful Possession of a Pistol - Plead guilty. Sentenced to 1 year time served.
After being sentenced in March 2007, Washington was arrested again in 2008.

PWID Crack Near a School - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.
Armed Robbery - Reduced to Strong Arm Robbery by the 9th Circuit Solicitor. Sentenced by Judge Roger Young to 15 years, suspended after 2 years and 5 years of probation.

Upon his release from prison and while on probation Washington was arrested again.

Pointing & Presenting a Firearm - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.

The jail record shows Washington was charged with a probation violation in 2012, but the public court database does not show it.
Washington was arrested again on March 15th for 3rd Degree Assault & Battery after punching a 14 year old relative in the face.
Criss cross, indeed.

Imagine a family situation where being arrested so often, committing violent crimes so often is considered normal. And yet we have many such families in the Lowcountry and in the USA - most of whom are living partially on a portion of our tax dollars being reallocated to them.
What ^He^ said… indeed. Yet they feel vindicated and justified to do so somehow.
On a separate note, can the font color be changed so that the comment-er can read what he is typing? I can’t see my own typos… or the submit button, every character is nearly the same color as the screen.
What color is your screen? We don’t have that problem on this end.
it is grey/off white. Letters type out as just slightly darker. Both on my HP tablet and my Samsung chromebook. Background is brownish on the border.
Has to be something in your settings. We just checked four browsers on two different computers and it’s all black and white.
I’ll see if I can figure something out on my end, then. Both are using Chrome, and I am assuming you checked that one. Thanx.
