Teach and Chong
Teach and Chong arrested. Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Christopher Paulus, of 1879 Bohicket Road, was arrested by CCSO on February 18th on a charge of Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm. Paulus was on Ghana Street on Johns Island when deputies observed him toss a firearm as they tried to make contact with him. Paulus was cuffed and stuffed and asked deputies if he could go to his house to secure his dogs. Paulus then asked to go inside and get some water. Of course, the deputies escorted him. Once inside they could smell the marijuana. After securing a search warrant deputies found 7.2 pounds of the wacky weed. Paulus was then charged with Trafficking Marijuana 1st Offense, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, PWID Marijuana and PWID Marijuana Near a School. His total bond was at $100,000 and he bonded out on February 19th.
Deputies also drew up warrants for Faith Jones-Paulus, the wife of Christopher Paulus and a 6th grade teacher at Haut Gap Middle School. She turned herself in early Monday morning and was charged with PWID Marijuana and PWID Near a School. Her total bond was set at $50,000 and she was released Monday afternoon.
We have some questions about whether that charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime will hold up in court, but we will leave that to the attorneys.
Neither of these two have previous criminal histories we could find. We also checked W. Virginia which is where the wife’s Facebook page says she is from.
