Exposing the criminal element for 3 years

Dashawn Brown - Get Money Cowboys

Dashawn Brown, on the run for killing Sierra Truesdale at the Starlite Lounge, has deleted his Thugbook page. It used to be HERE. He can’t delete his criminal history in Colleton county, however. We are pretty sure the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office wishes they could make is disappear. They seem to be pretty good at making things - like violent criminal charges - disappear.

To the family of Sierra Truesdale - You might not want to read this. It will only make you angry.

In 2011 Brown was charged with a shooting at Wimberly’s Car Wash on Hampton Street. He went on the run from those charges, too.

2011 Charges:

Attempted Murder - Dismissed by the 14th Circuit Solicitor.

Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime - Dismissed by the 14th Circuit Solicitor.

3rd Degree Assault & Battery by Mob - Pled guilty before Judge Diane Goodstein in December of 2012. Sentenced to two years probation, to run concurrent with another probation.

Attempted Murder - Dismissed by the 14th Circuit Solicitor with the notation “not indicted”. We clearly see an indictment number listed on the record.

Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime - Dismissed by the 14th Circuit Solicitor with the notation “not indicted”. We clearly see an indictment number listed on the record.

In August 2012 Brown was charged with firing a handgun into a crowd of five people.

2012 Charges:

Attempted Murder - Pled guilty in December 2012 Before Judge Diane Goodstein. Sentenced to six years, suspended in favor two years of probation. Nice job, Judge!!

FOUR additional counts of Attempted Murder - ALL dismissed by the 14th Circuit Solicitor.

So, who is to blame for the fact that Dashwan Brown, a thug with a very violent history, just sentenced in December for attempted murder, was freely roaming the Lowcountry and felt comfortable enough to kill a woman. Given his past experience with the legal system, we are willing to bet he won’t pay for this crime, either. The family of Sierra Truesdale needs to ride that 1st Circuit Solicitor hard, as they also have a history of dropping charges on violent criminals.
