Shooters Caught

Bryant Michael Smith was charged Saturday with the April 18th murder of George Akeem Bennett, aka “Big Feez”. No word yet on whether the “black lives matter” folks will stage any protests over this killing of a black drug dealer by another black drug dealer.

Smith has been a frequent beneficiary of the Hug-A-Thug program administered by the 9th Circuit Solicitor and Judge Thomas “Felon’s Friend” Hughston. Let’s review.

2002 Charges:

PWID Crack Cocaine - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.

PWID Crack Near a School - Dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor.

Tell us again how the system is designed to incarcerate black men?

A Hanahan shooter has been rounded up. Herbert Arthur Steerman was charged with Use of a Firearm While Under the Influence, two counts of Discharging a Firearm in City Limits and two counts of Discharging a Firearm Into a Dwelling. He hasn’t had a bond hearing yet. Some stories indicate Steerman was inside his home and fired his weapon several times, striking as many as five other homes in the area.

Steerman has no general sessions history in the three local counties that we could find.

In other news we have learned a bit more about the shooting in the Westcott subdivision on April 24th. It seems a number of students from Fort Dorchester High School were involved and the shooting initially began on Patriot Drive close to Ashley Phosphate. Several houses were also damaged by gunfire as the shooters, in a white SUV, fired multiple times at the occupants of another vehicle. Based on what we are hearing, at least one of the “victims” might have been shooting back or involved in an earlier shooting. We are following some leads on this story and will provide an update as more information becomes available.
