Ready for something different? There was a shooting in an unincorporated area of North Charleston on Christmas Day. How is that different from any other day? The shooter was a middle aged white woman with no criminal history.

Authorities responded to a home on Orchid Avenue in the Brentwood subdivision off of Dorchester Road near Leeds Avenue. They found a male who had been shot in the neck with a .38 caliber revolver. The victim informed police Oliver shot him. Oliver was arrested, charged and lodged in the Charleston County detention center. Having been charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm During a Violent Crime she was given two personal recognizance bonds of $20,000 each and promptly sent home. As we mentioned above, Oliver has no adult criminal history we could find.

  1. Even with no criminal history, two PR bonds @ $20,000 for a shooting is pretty lax. It’s more in line with what the murderous, drug dealing, trash is getting though so how can you argue.
